Plain answers about what this site knows about you.

What you give us

Your email address, when you get on the list, and which part of the site you signed up from. We send one email to confirm the address. Only confirmed addresses join the list.

What we use it for

To email you as soon as the guides launch. We don't sell or share your address, and there are no newsletters you didn't ask for.

Battle.net accounts

When account sign-in is available and you choose it, Battle.net provides your account identifier and display BattleTag. We use the account identifier to keep your purchases together. Your Battle.net password stays with Battle.net; we do not store it or its access token.

Sign-in uses essential, HTTP-only session cookies. A sign-in state expires after ten minutes; a site session expires after seven days or when you sign out. These cookies are separate from optional analytics.

To limit sign-in abuse, we keep temporary counters keyed to a hash of your network address. We do not store the raw address in those counters; old network counters are removed during sign-in after one hour.

Payments and guide access

Checkout is hosted by Stripe. We store order identifiers, payment status, amounts, currency and which account has guide access. Card details are entered with Stripe and are not stored by this site. Current checkout uses test payments only.

We keep payment and refund records to provide account access and reconcile orders. Test access does not turn into a real purchase automatically. Signing in does not subscribe you to marketing email.

Account guide downloads, when available, may include a copy reference linked to your site account so we can trace the source of a copy. The file does not include your Battle.net account identifier, password or sign-in token.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising cookies. We count visits with Google Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, it sets cookies that tell repeat visits apart, so we can see which guides people read. If you decline, it sets none and sends only cookieless, aggregated measurements. Change your choice any time under Cookies at the bottom of the page.

Where it is kept

The site runs on Vercel, uses Turso for its email list and account records, and sends email through Resend. Battle.net handles sign-in and Stripe handles checkout when those services are enabled.

Leaving

Write to hello@getwowguides.com to leave the email list or request removal of account data. For account requests, we will need to verify which account belongs to you. Records that must be retained for legal or payment reconciliation reasons are handled separately.
